Fullerene n \|propylamine platinum and rhodium complexes were prepared by reaction of C60 with n \|propylamine, followed by complexing with potassium chloroplatinite or rhodium chloride respectively. These two complexes were effective catalysts for hydrosilylation of olefins with triethoxysilane. The Pt complex exhibited nearly 100% regioselectivety for styrene \|adduct. The mechanism of hydrosilylation was also discussed.
