CO is a an inexpensive, abundant and useful C1 building block. It is an important transformation in organic chemistry to use CO as a carbonyl source to participate in the oxidation carbonylation of amine. Synthesis of urea and its derivatives by the oxidation carbonylation of amine has attracted much attention in recent year. This review intends to offer a detailed introduction of recent progress on the synthesis of urea by catalytic oxidative carbonylation of amines. Moreover, the development tendency for oxidative carbonylation of amine are also discussed. |
